Tagged

So thanks to my great friend Traci I have been tagged. Here are the rules I have to tell you 6 interesting things about myself then tag 6 more people by leaving a comment on their blog. So here are 6 interesting things about me! And watch out everyone else because you could be next!

1. I love recipes. I love reading them to find out what the ingredients are the procedure needed to prepare them and how long it will take to prepare. On the other hand the actual preparing of the recipe usually doesn't occur.

2. I love to scrapbook, as long as the project has been laid out for me in full. I find it much more difficult to do on my own. (I really miss Scrapbook Club in Louisville with Heather). I guess my creative edge has taken a turn for the worse.

3. I have worked many jobs in my life including my first as a Subway Sandwich Artist, Pharmacy Technician, Travel Agent, Loan Interviewer at a Credit Union and my favourite Mom.

4. I hate to dust. Which is really bad considering all of the furniture in our house is the dark Walnut color. It often comes to the point of seeing a thick layer of dust that I finally break out the duster.

5. I love to do home projects. When we bought our house 1 1/2 years ago we basically gutted it and started over. I learned how to tile, floors and walls. We painted the entire house more than once now, and I also dabbled in some electrical and plumbing projects. It was great for me because I am a hands on kind of person and don't mind doing stuff myself. I personally think we did a good job. And I may get around to posting some pictures for everyone as well.

6. I am a shy person, but I am sure that a lot of you wouldn't believe it. I was in my 20's before I would even approach someone in a store to ask where something was. I am never the first to introduce myself, and for this reason I think that I may come across kind of snotty. But I really am not and I am really trying to change this about me. It has been a long ongoing project, but I am making progress (I think?).

So I hope you all enjoyed this. I am tagging Renee, Amy, Emily, Devynn, Jen, and Kate. Have Fun!

Rollin Rollin Rollin

So Emmy has been rolling over for a few weeks now and gets stuck on her stomach all the time. But I had to post this picture of her. I think that she just gave up trying to get back onto her back and decided to give me this cute pose instead.

Halloween

So the day has come and gone. We had an eventful one anyway. Between school parties, swimming lessons and the good old Trunk or Treat which I gladly suggested to our ward Activities Committee I think my kids were all Halloween ed out. We did have unusual weather this year. Halloween usually means the first big snow of the year, but this year it stayed away and was replaced by 100km/hr wind. That is the one thing that I never missed living in Kentucky. It can get so bad sometimes I am afraid that it is going to lift my kids off the ground and carry them away.

This year instead of going on a theme like I have in the past I decided to let my kids choose their costumes. With some bad news for Hadley who wanted to be Princess Fiona. A little procrastination on my part led to us not being able to find the costume to buy, and I was not too keen on making it. (It seems like you can buy the costumes cheaper than you can make them these days) So I convinced her to be a bat and she was alright with it in the end. Rawley was set on being Frankenstein and Emmy was of course a Banana.

We also spent FHE on the 29th carving 2 pumpkins and making some sugar cookies for Rawley to decorate at his preschool party.

All in all it was a great holiday, we all had fun and now it is time to put it all away until next year.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
