More Pictures!
When Addy was a week old we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving and while we were all together I convinced my older brother Trevor to take a few shots of her. He has a big fancy camera that takes really good pictures and lights and talent and so much more! Plus he had never photographed a newborn before. So I figured since he was a photographer that he could use her to practice on! Here are some of his favorites and mine too!

They turned out fabulous, now if I could only get him to take some family pictures for us! Hint Hint!

6 Week Update!
So really quick I wanted to make sure that I recorded for my memory how Addy is growing. We both had Doctor's appointments and today she weighed in at 11 lbs 9oz and 23 inches. That means in only a mere 6 weeks this little girl has gained 3 lbs and 2 inches which puts her in the 90th percentile. Yeah she is chubby, but I love it!

6 weeks
Here is another update for the Grandmas and Grandpas! But first we would like to wish Grandpa Selk a very Happy Birthday!

Addy is also 6 weeks old and starting to smile! It has only been a few times but last night she smiled 3 times in a row so I can say it's official. Now I just have to get it on camera! My sister wanted a better picture of her to see how much she has changed so here you go!

I have also been searching for an alternative to the bundle me bags for winter this year. I have heard they are not the best because you can't get the car seat straps tight enough. So I headed over to the trusty Internet to see if I could get an idea on how to make a cover. Apparently they are not that difficult and easy to use. This is what I ended up with. It is double lined for warmth with the underside fleece and the top flannel. I think it turned out great for my first try, but could have been just a bit wider. Oh well it will work for this winter at least!

On a final note Emmy is starting to be a little camera shy I am not sure why but I did snap a couple pictures of her tonight while we were playing around!

What a silly girl!

One Month Already??
I still can't believe that my baby is already a month old! How did that happen? She is growing more and more each day. We visited the doctor and she now weighs 10lbs 14oz. She is still 21 1/2 inches so not much change there. I think she has finally grown out of her hold me phase! This makes me sad and happy. Sad because I love to hold her and know that she needs me and happy because I can finally put her down and she is content to lay there and kick until she gets tired! Here is the only picture I got of her on her 1 month day!

Happy Everything!
Yesterday Addy was 4 weeks old. It also was Fast Sunday so we took the opportunity to have her blessing. It had been quite an eventful weekend prior to Sunday! Not only did all of the other kids end up sick, with Emmy getting the worst of it. But it was also Halloween and Daylight Savings. All I can say is that I really appreciated that extra hour on Sunday morning!
Let's start with Halloween shall we! We actually got to have another Halloween without snow! That makes 2 years in a row now! Unfortunately that was replaced with wind! Not my favorite thing but thankfully I got to stay home this year and hand out the candy while Pat took the others around the neighborhood. We are still pretty lucky that they are smaller and once the candy bags get to heavy they are ready to quit! Here they are!

Addy as a ballerina was a last minute costume idea! I couldn't think of anything to dress her as and I couldn't find a small enough costume at any stores. I do love the tutu! Good thing I had my mom and sister to help put it all together for me! Once the tutu was made I had the idea of blessing Addy in it as well, which I thought was a great idea. But after suggesting the idea to Pat (he said no) I was searching for another option to bless her in. This then turns into a mad rush trying to find a suitable dress for her to be blessed in without it costing me a fortune! I know that the cost of something shouldn't matter because this is a special event, but I have a hard time dishing out the money when they only wear it for one day! Here again steps in my very talented and awesome Mom, who helps me find a less expensive dress that is way to big, and turns it into this!

Oh and these!

I seriously would have been blessing her in a diaper if she wouldn't have sacrificed her Saturday to make the dress! And now Addy has a very special dress to pass onto her daughters. Pat gave her a beautiful blessing which she cried all the way through, and once it was over she fell asleep for the rest of the meeting! I guess we were due to have a crier since we haven't had one yet!
Afterward we had family over for lunch which was very yummy thanks to everyone that offered to help out. And we spent the rest of Sunday pumping Tylenol into Emmy trying to bring down her fever! She still has one, but it has been more mild so far today! Guess we have finally had our turn with the flu! Hopefully Addy, Pat and I can avoid it. We are crossing our fingers!
We didn't get a lot of pictures because of Emmy being sick but we did at least get one of our family.

And on another note....Wrestling starts today! I now officially take on the role of Wrestling widow! The countdown is on until March!
