Update!
The case of the missing Ipod has been solved. Maybe I should have disappeared to the basement to catch up on my blog reading earlier. My lovely 3 year old had decided the Ipod was cold and ended up putting it in the heat duct under the register. Let's just hope that 4 days being blasted with heat didn't hurt it too bad.

Have you ever....
tried to get the whereabouts of a certain item out of a 5 and 3 year old? I have and it is not easy. So to fill you all in. Sunday morning I brought my Ipod out of the office (where it had been recharging)to put back in our car. I left it on the sofa table in our family room (right in reach of little hands)so I could grab it on the way to church. Of course I completely forgot it because we were running a little late, by the time I remembered it was no where to be found. I looked under the table, under the couches, in every pocket and every bag to no avail. So next I turned to the kids. Have you seen mom's music player? Yes. Do you know where it is? Yes, it's at Grandmas (we haven't been there since last week). No it can't be at Grandmas. Did you put it somewhere? Yes. Can you show me? We then follow R all the way around the house on a wild goose chase. Next I ask H. Did you put it somewhere? No. R took it. Did you see him take it? No. So now I am still empty handed, no Ipod anywhere and no leads on where it might be. All I know is that in about 3 months we might stumble upon it, much to my dismay. Sigh I guess I have learned my lesson. Don't leave tempting things out where little hands can get them.

My Boy!
So today we made a quick run to the store and Rawley and I had the following conversation.
Me: Hey Buddy please don't put your feet on the chair.
Rawley: Mom, Why do you call me Buddy?
Me: Because you are my Buddy, aren't you?
Rawley: No, I'm your kid.
I got a good chuckle out of this one. But I am sure it won't be as funny for the rest of you. Just goes to show that the smallest things can make a mom laugh.

Tis the Season
I can't believe that it is already the end of the first week of December. It always seems to me that in October I have all the time in the world to get ready for Christmas and before I realize it December is here. Of course I am getting organized and almost done all of my shopping, but now the Christmas concerts, parties etc.. begin, any baking that I had thought about doing has now been put on hold to the dismay of my family, and I am ready to sleep for a week.
I am very excited about one of Emmy's gifts. I decided to try quilting for the first time using fabrics only no panels. I haven't had it stippled or bound yet, but apparently there is quite a long wait at the quilt shop. Here is a picture of the almost finished project. It is on a weird angle but it was the only way I could fit the entire quilt in the frame. This is another one of the patterns from Thimble Blossoms, it is called Bloom. I am planning to try a couple of others to add to my quilt collection so stay tuned for more pictures. (Just to warn you it could be a while)

Look what I found!!
Calling all Quilters!
So I can't call myself an expert at quilting but I finally gave it a chance after seeing the patterns that my sister's friend Camille makes. They are so adorable and really not to difficult ( which is a plus for me at least). She just completed 6 new patterns and is in the process of a giveaway on her blog that ends on Monday Dec 10. Check it out here
Even if you don't win in the giveaway her patterns are a great price as well. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do. I am also adding a link to her store so go and check it out.
