I feel like it's been forever....

since I have put anything new on here. We have been trying to keep busy, but that doesn't seem to be that difficult these days. As the school year winds down it seems like there is so much more to do.

Here's a little bit of what we have been up to. I braved a road trip alone with all of the kids to visit my sister and her husband and to meet my newest nephew Gibson. He is so cute and with that head full of hair how can you even put him down ever!! I know I couldn't!

The trip was remarkably uneventful. Hadley was the best helper and I know I wouldn't have survived the trip without her. Oh and the DVD player! I ended up having to listen to the movies as well for the majority of the trip since we only have 2 sets of headphones (must be time to invest in a couple more pairs) but encouraged the kids to choose movies with a lot of songs so I wouldn't get too bored! Hotels are always a challenge unless there are 2 rooms, but I was able to survive the 3 nights we spent in one. We did get a chance to swim as well and I got to steal my sister away to see 17 Again. Thanks to my Dad and Marilyn who gratefully watched the kids at the hotel. It was a fun but quick trip!

You have already read about the circus and the ultrasound, but I was also able to go to Hadley's school for a special Mother's day program. All 5 Grade 1 classes joined together for a little program, then we split up to go to the classrooms for a special gift. It was such a fun afternoon for both of us, it is great to have teachers who put so much effort in each day! And having Grandma available to watch the other kids to made it extra special!

On a final note I am hopefully finding out for sure what this new addition will be tomorrow at my doctor's appointment, so stay tuned!

Can anyone say circus!!!

Yesterday was the annual circus, put on by the preschool that Rawley goes to. Every year the 4 year old classes choose a part, practice it and perform it for their parents and families. This year was a special year because one lucky person from a previous class gets chosen to be the ever important ringmaster. This year Hadley was chosen for the part and couldn't contain her excitement. She put in the practice and did a fantastic job. Rawley chose to be a bear this year! He really got into his character and did great. They have in the past had the show recorded and then each family can purchase the movie. I was sad to find out that they won't be having this again this year. Now I have to track down a copy from one of the other mom's. Considering I have 2 kids in the show instead of one. So right now I will have to settle for this slide show!

Ultrasound Results!!

And the winner is ? I honestly have no clue what we are having! I have a hard enough time seeing everything else that is going on! The techs here can't tell us, they just include it in the report that is given to our doctor and he will tell me at my next appointment. So I am sorry to say we will have to wait until the 27th to find out for sure. We did get a few picture from the ultrasound. This is the best one.

We were told that everything looks good, and from what I could tell 10 fingers and 10 toes. And I am right on schedule for my due date so no changes to that! Too bad I could have handled having this one a few weeks earlier. But I don't think that will happen unless I have a huge baby!

Happy Mother's Day!

To each and everyone of you wonderful mom's out there! Enjoy your day off! I know that I have been thoroughly enjoying being able to:

Sleep in (Well maybe tomorrow!)
Not have to cook.
Not have to clean.
Having control over the remote! (As long as I choose Basketball)
Being spoiled by my wonderful husband and kids!

Thanks for the special day! Love you lots and lots!

Our first Snowman of the season!

Okay I know technically it is Spring now not Winter, but when mother nature sends you the gift of perfect snowman making snow and a beautiful day to go with it....you just can't let it pass you by. I hate to say it but this was probably the first day that we actually played outside in the snow! The only times I let my kids out was to help me shovel the walks! I know slave driver! It was fun to see them having such a good time and see them push those huge balls of snow around. I think that our finished snowman turned out pretty good, considering all I had on hand for his nose was a baby carrot. It was a fun afternoon for all of us until Rawley found the mud! Let's just say his boots are still outside covered in mud! Boys! That is all I can say!

Have you heard of these????

We got these for Christmas and my kids love them! That is actually an understatement! They come with templates that you can copy and I just found out that you can download more online. Rawley has made every one possible and had now decided that he would rather make them up as he goes. Mostly robots and such, but he also made this cool dragon with the flames and an eel. They are super easy to use. And I love that all you need is water to hold them together. We have spent countless hours filling and changing colors just to see what we can create! They definitely have brought out the creative side of my kids and I love that they can play with them rather than sit in front of the TV. Here are a few of their many creations!

Happy Easter!!

We had your traditional Easter weekend. Mainly lazing around not accomplishing much. On Friday the older two kids went to see Monsters vs. Aliens with their dad. They love movie dates with dad. Emmy and I spent the afternoon taking naps which were much needed in my opinion. We then went and had a nice dinner at my mom's where got to visit with family. The kids also got a visit from the Easter Bunny! I think that the Easter Bunny spoils them way too much. But they sure had fun running around Grandmas backyard looking for treats. This year Emmy even figured out what it was all about! We spent most of Saturday outside enjoying the wonderful Spring weather and I was treated to a night off of cooking. Sunday morning we awoke to a sick little girl again for the second week in a row. But I was still able to get some pictures of all of them together in their new Easter outfits. The Easter Bunny made an appearance at our house too after we had eaten dinner. And because of that I will be trying to ward of the sugar high that will be consuming my kids for the next week.

The entire gang

If you look closely enough you will see the war wound Emmy got while wrestling with Rawley's bed. It actually looks better than it did when it first happened. She of course was a little poser during the pictures. She is my little model in the making. We still have one more day with Dad home before he goes back to work, and I get to try to fill the remainder of the week up since the kids are on Easter break.
