Crazy sleepers!

Over the last couple of weeks I have found a couple of my kids sound asleep! The thing is they are always in the craziest positions! So I thought that they deserved a post about it!

Look who's 7 months old!

I always thought that when my baby turned 7 months old we would be well into spring and the weather that comes with it. So I was very surprised when I woke up this morning to another blizzard! Thankfully it is warmer and the snow didn't stick too much, but the wind was awful! And having to drag Emmy and Addy out in it to pick up Rawley from Kindergarten was not my idea of fun! But on a lighter note Addy is 7 months old today! Here are some of the things she is doing now.

She can sit up with confidence.
She has gotten up on her knees a couple of times, but still not crawling!
She laughs at everything especially her brother and sisters.
She sleeps a lot! On average 8 hours through the night! My first one to do it this early!
She has started eating cereal and some vegetables. So far so good!
She is starting to play strange with people which makes my trips to the gym not quite as productive as I would like some days!

I am very excited for the warmer weather to finally show up. So that we can take advantage of trips to the park, pool and other places. This also means that school is almost done for the year! Seriously where did the time go! I am looking forward to the sleeping in and all but I am not looking forward to the constant fighting that my kids will be doing! And with all of the fun things that go along with the last 2 months of school I will hopefully be posting a bit more than I have been!

A couple of First's

Today Addy had 2 milestones. Our sweet little girl cut her first tooth today! Now I am crossing my fingers that she keeps the biting to a minimum. To celebrate this I decided to give her some rice cereal to see how she would take to it! She was a pro, but now I need to find something to keep her hands away from the spoon. She couldn't keep her hands off it!

On Friday April 9th she cut her second tooth! Not long now until she has a full mouthful of chompers!

Happy Easter and Happy Half Birthday Addy!

We have had a whirlwind Easter weekend to say the least! It has been fun having my sister in town for sure, plus we also got to throw a baby shower for my SIL Tasha and my new nephew Everett. Plus not only is today Easter Sunday it is also my babies half birthday, yep I still cannot believe that she is 6 months old! I will post again with how much she weighs when we actually get to the doctors office next week. I figured that taking all of the gang with me to the appointment might be a little crazy since the older 2 have the week off from school! The Easter bunny visited our house this morning and the older 3 got to search for their loot in the freezing cold morning! They were spoiled as usual!



Then we were able to sit and watch the morning session of conference. It was nice to watch but I am still trying to figure out how to keep them all in one room and sitting still. I know there are tons of different conference packets on the Internet that I just have to print out and maybe by October I will get my act together and have them all ready and waiting. After that a trip over to Grandma's for a yummy Easter dinner, another egg hunt and photos of the kids taken by my awesome big brother!




I have to wait a bit for those, but here is one that shows how much Addy has changed in 6 months!



I was a little bummed that Conference landed on Easter Sunday because I always buy a new Easter outfit for my kids to wear to church! So we wore them a week early! I think they are super cute! What do you all think?

Special Person Recognition

Yesterday Hadley was recognized at her school for a very special award. Each month kids from each class are recognized for something that they have done and are given a pin for it. This is the second time she has received this award, she also got it in Grade 1. Her teacher was very sweet in saying that Hadley is a very big help to everyone in her class and said that she has a very bubbly personality that is infectious to everyone around her to which I agree! She also said how she had been working so hard to get to the chapter book level in her home reading! I know how hard she worked to do this considering I am the one who gets to hear all of the books that she brings home! Great Job Hadley!




I enlisted Rawley to be my picture taker for the afternoon! I think he did a fantastic job!

My First Ever Race

Earlier this year while I was making my resolutions I included my goal to run in the Moonlight Run. I figured that I would probably never be able to cross that one off of my list, but thanks to some good friends who ran with me I am finally able to say that I have actually done it! It was a 6K race and it started after dark (hence the name) and it is a pretty big race, they have to limit the number of entries to 2500. So the 3 of us joined the crowd of people at the starting line and were off. I must admit that although my time of 44 minutes and 13 seconds is not fabulous for some I am quite proud of my accomplishment! Like I said this is my first race ever! Here's to the next race coming up in June! I just hope I am a little better prepared for it, 8K is a little intimidating!
