She's 2!!

I can't believe that today my baby turned 2. It is amazing how quickly they grow up. I sometimes wish I could stop the clock and let them be little forever. I can't even believe the things that she is learning everyday and what a sweet girl she has become. Here are somethings about her:

1. She is starting to put 2 words together.
2. She is a huge copy cat,always trying to be like her older brother and sister.
3. She is still using the potty but hasn't quite mastered it.
4. She loves Dora.
5. She loves to snuggle. Especially before bed.
6. She is a little mommy, it's all about babies right now.
7. She loves her daddy. And has him wrapped around her little finger.

I can't believe how much she has changed in 2 short years.

I couldn't imagine our family without her. She has been a wonderful addition and blessing for all of us. Happy Birthday Emmy! We love you!

It's Official

Rawley is done with preschool! Today was his last day! We spent it at a picnic where there were lots of fun games, tonnes of yummy food and good friends. I can't even believe that he is done that means Kindergarten in the fall which seems a little unreal. All in all I am glad it is over, but also a little sad that this is the end of this chapter of his little life! I think that he has grown up over the last year what do you think?

Summer Dayz!

I can now officially say that summer is here! Even though technically there is an entire week until the 21st of June! We have had an amazing number of days in a row where the sun was shining the temperatures were soaring and the wind WASN'T blowing!! We spent a couple of afternoons in Grandma R backyard and played in the pool in our backyard.



Emmy loves this pool, and even though I think Hadley is a bit big for it now she graciously entertained her for the afternoon.


So did Rawley!

We finally broke out the bikes! Hadley has been struggling but she is very determined, and I think that determination has finally paid off. We only got her going on 2 wheels at the end of last summer, but she still needed to work on starting and stopping on her own. This of course led to a few tears when Rawley would speed past her and leave her in the dust. I guess the tables have turned because I now have Rawley in tears because he isn't in the lead. I also hooked up the jogging stroller to the bike so Emmy has somewhere to ride and we can go for longer than 10 minutes. It is quite a sight to see me pregnant as I am trying my best to pull it behind the bike. Sorry there will be no picture of that unfortunately!! But we did end up with a few battle wounds.



Emmy skinned her knee twice in two days in almost the exact same place.



And Rawley felt it necessary to kiss the sidewalk!

And the verdict is!

GIRL!


I was a little surprised at this, but really am excited to be adding another healthy baby to our family. I am a little sad that Rawley won't be getting that little brother that he was really hoping for, but this will make his outings with Dad that much more special. Now the trouble is deciding on a name for this one. We were already set with a boys name so it is back to the drawing board! I just hope we can agree on one before we have to leave the hospital! Thankfully we still have a few more months to make up our minds. There was also a slight change in due date. It is around September 28 instead of October 1. I hope that is the case, but we will have to see.

I love it when...

I catch my 4 year old in a lie! Mind you I don't like the fact that he did lie, but knowing that it was for sure one makes it easier for me to teach him not to do it. Let me explain. I had left him unattended due to the distraction of blog reading. I know not the best excuse and that is why his punishment was not quite as severe as it should have been. When I came upstairs to see what he had been up too he proceeded to tell me that his little sister Emmy had drawn with a pen all over the walls. Keep in mind she was sound asleep in her crib this entire time! I asked him if it was the truth and he answered yes! I then told him he needed to tell me the truth because I already knew! He finally said that he had lied and his punishment was to help me clean it up. Hopefully he learned his lesson! I have definitely learned mine!

I feel like it's been forever....

since I have put anything new on here. We have been trying to keep busy, but that doesn't seem to be that difficult these days. As the school year winds down it seems like there is so much more to do.

Here's a little bit of what we have been up to. I braved a road trip alone with all of the kids to visit my sister and her husband and to meet my newest nephew Gibson. He is so cute and with that head full of hair how can you even put him down ever!! I know I couldn't!


The trip was remarkably uneventful. Hadley was the best helper and I know I wouldn't have survived the trip without her. Oh and the DVD player! I ended up having to listen to the movies as well for the majority of the trip since we only have 2 sets of headphones (must be time to invest in a couple more pairs) but encouraged the kids to choose movies with a lot of songs so I wouldn't get too bored! Hotels are always a challenge unless there are 2 rooms, but I was able to survive the 3 nights we spent in one. We did get a chance to swim as well and I got to steal my sister away to see 17 Again. Thanks to my Dad and Marilyn who gratefully watched the kids at the hotel. It was a fun but quick trip!

You have already read about the circus and the ultrasound, but I was also able to go to Hadley's school for a special Mother's day program. All 5 Grade 1 classes joined together for a little program, then we split up to go to the classrooms for a special gift. It was such a fun afternoon for both of us, it is great to have teachers who put so much effort in each day! And having Grandma available to watch the other kids to made it extra special!


On a final note I am hopefully finding out for sure what this new addition will be tomorrow at my doctor's appointment, so stay tuned!

Can anyone say circus!!!

Yesterday was the annual circus, put on by the preschool that Rawley goes to. Every year the 4 year old classes choose a part, practice it and perform it for their parents and families. This year was a special year because one lucky person from a previous class gets chosen to be the ever important ringmaster. This year Hadley was chosen for the part and couldn't contain her excitement. She put in the practice and did a fantastic job. Rawley chose to be a bear this year! He really got into his character and did great. They have in the past had the show recorded and then each family can purchase the movie. I was sad to find out that they won't be having this again this year. Now I have to track down a copy from one of the other mom's. Considering I have 2 kids in the show instead of one. So right now I will have to settle for this slide show!
